I have one problem with the episode. The Daleks acted like cybermen, not Daleks. Daleks are racists. I cannot see that they would want to make anyone, no matter how much of a genius, into a dalek. In fact, they couldn't, could they? With the possible exception of massive gene therapy. And similarly, taking away love and emotions is precisely what the cybermen do.

I don't mind too much, but it bugs me a little. It felt like it was written for one type of baddies, and then someone came along and said "why don't we do it with crazy daleks" (I love the crazy daleks, by the way).


I did like the new companion person (or descendant or relative or timey-wimey thingamajig), and I really liked the fact that the Doctor can start from scratch with the Daleks. They had gotten stuck in a "oh, no! we must make it BIGGER!" thing.
