The routine nature of the show is a HUGE part of why I enjoy it. I have enough surprises in my work day; I don't need any more when I get home. I love the "comfort food" feel of the show. It is funny, cute and has just enough drama to make it interesting (imo).

If he wants to be surprised, he'll watch something else. (That said, I honestly was surprised that they wrapped it up that quickly. I thought it would take a couple epis, at least.)
