Now, not to suddenly pretend that I rate Lucas so very highly as a storyteller (his contributions to the development of special effects and sound are an entirely different story), but I have to say I have even less faith in random assorted Disney scenarists with Lucas "consulting" them. Even if they do come up with one hell of a story, they'd be almost forced to drop most of the characters people care about, excepting perhaps C3PO and R2D2. So, yeah, I'm not getting my hopes up for anything that could even come close to being worthy of the classic original trilogy. Better than the sequel trilogy would be something, I suppose.
