I really liked most of the movie, but then I felt it went on too long and became too defensive at the end. In my mind a Bond finale should be offensive in nature, rather than defensive. There were some dumb holes in Silva's plan at the end as well (the first team he sent in basically only served to give Bond access to better guns before he brought the helicopter, and all Silva had to do to beat Bond was wait around at the edge of the lake for a minute and shoot him when he came up for air; also, M and the gamekeeper seemed completely unfazed by the gunfire they must have just heard down at the lake when Bond shot through the ice, because they didn't even look out the windows to see what was happening; also also, the gamekeeper waving his flashlight around like an idiot while they were trying to sneak away was dumb). And earlier, the whole "he secretly wanted to be caught!" thing was officially overdone once Avengers did it, though I suppose it was probably already being filmed before Avengers aired.

I understand what they were trying to do at the end, but it didn't really work for me. One nice touch though, was making his father's initials be AB, officially for Andrew Bond but actually for Albert Broccoli, the man who brought Bond to film and produced every movie up to Goldeneye.

A lot of that was a pretty good Bond movie. Different style, but I don't mind that, I liked it. But I was a little bored by the end, and felt it dragged things out too far.
