The Hamlet dynamic has never really been more than an obvious sales pitch to get the show started. The real conflict & theme of the show was always about power and bonds, not the elementary coming of age thing implied early on.
I had to go and write this, even as one of the most Hamlet-eaque episodes of the whole run was hitting the air, with the title "To Thine Own Self."
