On the way we do weekly show reviews. M & M Maddy Send a noteboard - 29/09/2009 08:24:24 PM
This idea was born out of the Project Runway discussion last week, when Greg pointed out that he, LitDog, Mookie and I had made PR posts and tapped Monkey to make this week's thread.

I started thinking this might be a good way to handle the weekly discussions. Have a rotation for who starts the discussion each week and then taps the next week's "host".

I think it would be more interesting if the same people didn't start the discussion each week. We should get different points of view in the main post that might otherwise get lost in the sub- threads. As we know, not every sub-thread gets read or discussed like the main one does. This could be a good way to get to see more people's posting styles and ideas at work.

I also hope those who read each discussion but do not post may start to offer their opinions and become part of the rotation. I know sometimes we don't speak up because someone has already said what we want to say. Knowing that you'll be in line to speak up first might be a good encouragement.

Also, it would eliminate either multiple posts on a show or the "Nothing's been posted yet, should I wait, should I say something?" You'll know from the previous week it's Missa's turn this week, some where int he next 24 hours she'll post.

It should lead to more of the well thought out analyses because the poster will have been preparing to post while they watch the show.

And lastly, it could be a good promotion of readandfindout.com as each week someone different could take their thread and talk about it in facebook or myspace or their blog or whatever.

Thats a lot out of me I know. What do other people think?
You are my audience, always.

Bring him home. Please.
A beer for Nick? Don't mind if I do.

wotmania? Why it's our legendary home where Kory CrazedWeasel and LittleSoul yet roam. It's where I hope, in the end, to return.
