Many others have complained about the additional material, and for good reason. Each unnecessary new scene made me cringe. Every extended chase scene made me wish for a new film editor.

It was too long and too cheesey and trust me, I am a fan of cheese. Most of the actors were good/great but the CGI was overdone and overused. I wouldn't have enjoyed it at all except I watched it with my 8 year old son and he loved it and wants to read the books now. For that reason alone I give it a 5/10.
