No one in their right mind would ever believe that something remotely approaching James Bond exists in real life. From the over-the-top technology to the impossible stunts, the only thing that has kept the films grounded has been the ability to poke fun at themselves. The crazy Bond girl and villain names, the funny lines - that's what lets the audience know that the movie producers aren't trying to shovel a load of horseshit into your lap only to call it foie gras.

When you say "Mission Impossible", I cringe inside. To the depths of my soul. Those were awful, truly awful, movies. By any standard.
