View original postA couple of things including future spoilers:

View original postThe bear pit scene and how they are handling Jaime may be one of my favorite things about this season so far. He may not be entirely that likable in the books, but it's still a great portrayal and fine acting.

It is mine, I think. Tyrion probably still beats Jaime, but I remember not caring one bit for Jaime in the books - now I want to hug him. After he bathes.
View original postThe dragons look absolutely fantastic. And I liked Dany even more in this scene than when she sacked and burned the other place. That was really well done and her choice to rather free slaves than sail right to Westeros is convincing and buys the show some time before audiences will start to wonder what the hell she is still doing on that side of the world.

I like Dany now (not more than I did in the other epi), and I don't think they are going to tank her, like the books do. Imo, they are gearing up to show her as the real threat, including the foreshadowing in the awesome scene with Bratface the King and Tywin.
View original postSo Robb's wife is pregnant. Now what does that mean? Will it lessen the blow of the RW because she will make it out alive and give birth to an heir some day? I can't entirely remember what happened to her character in the book. She was just caught and mistreated, right? Or do they make the RW worse by killing her and the baby as well? Unlikely. I think they'll go the first direction.

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but I can't care much about the Starks. I did in the books, until... Now it seems futile.
View original postI really hope Theon's torture has reached its climax now (no pun intended), because we've really had enough of that now. They could easily make him disappear now and show up as Reek next season without people forgetting what was going on. I just fear they still want to reveal his torturer's identity this season, so I assume we may see more of that. Le sigh.

I don't care about him; I agree with how you said your gf feels about it.
