News from San Diego ComicCon: Superman/Batman on the way Stephen Send a noteboard - 21/07/2013 10:07:24 PM

The first big news is that Warner Brothers announced their follow up to Man of Steel, a Superman and Batman simply titled Superman/Batman. It will be written by Zack Snyder and David Goyer, the team behind Man of Steel. There is no confirmation on who will play Batman/Bruce Wayne and Christian Bale has repeatedly said he will not be returning, Armie Hammer, star of the recent Lone Ranger movie, has been rumoured in the past to be a contender but rumour is prone to be false. Of note is the fact that Warners didn't confirm any other DC adaptations, with big names Wonder Woman, the Flash, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter and Green Arrow being left filmless for now, possibly as Warners being hesitant of greenlighting new projects in the wake of the massive failure of their Green Lantern film from a few years back. Still, a Justice League film incorporating some, if not all of the above mentioned names is likely to appear in the next 4-5 years as Warners and DC hope to combat the success of Disney and Marvel's recent films.

"I mean, if everyone had a soul, there would be no contrast by which we could appreciate it. For giving us this perspective, we thank you." - Nate
