Holy shit. I have absolutely no clue, but I've read the manga and I saw Brotherhood, and I don't think anything was really left out... Although some things were kind of glossed over and didn't feature as prominently in the anime, so I think all the movies are just additional things unrelated to the manga. Don't quote me on that though.

I think your right. Apparently there are 2 movies, one related to the first series, one to the second. The 2nd one takes place sometime during Brotherhood's storyline and is about the brothers going to another country to capture a criminal. The other movie is about Ed coming to our world and then trying to get back to Al and his own universe.
