That's why the regeneration scenes are always so much fun...the new doctor always tries to make a strong (sometimes over-the-top) impression that sets the tone of his particular 'style' or interpretation. Just look back at some of the regenerations of the old doctors on Youtube. You definitely could have inferred the style of each mans reign from these entrances.

I liked what I saw of Capaldi...I would say the words bold, intellectual and aloof might define his character.
