Yeah it's definitely a departure from their other stuff, but I don't think they stand to lose much, here. Worst case scenario, it doesn't do well, and they go back to their normal fare. Best case scenario, it turns out people are willing to see a bunch of random Marvel movies, and not just "normal" superheroes.
