I never thought I'd find another person who hated that movie! Usually just saying it's not all it's cracked up to be is enough to get shit flung at you from every sci-fi fan in a hundred mile radius.

Personally, I've always thought 2001: A Space Odyssey was like the cinematic version of "The Emperor's New Clothes." No one understands it or really enjoys sitting through it, but they all pretend it's brilliant so as to not look stupid to everyone else.
