And sorry I thought the prequels had fanatics plots compared to that fan boy parody of the first JJ Star Trek. I really hated that movie and it still amazes me so many peopled it thought was good. As to which has heart I still kids at my daughter's school carrying Luke Skywalker lunch boxes but none of the new JJ crap.

Hmm I agree with you on Star Trek but it wasn't heart so much as head. Star Trek was about ideas. Thought provoking ones - at least when it was good. (But then I liked the first Star Trek movie so ...). Star Wars was a Saturday morning adventure serial. We forget this because of the hoopla that Lucas was able to put around it by using "Power of Myth" but really these were nothing more than popcorn movies .... and popcorn movies Abrams can do well. The problem was turning Star Trek into a popcorn movie when it was always more.

And yes the prequels were better than JJ Abrams star trek ... but if you can call on terd better than another terd well it is still a terd so ...
