Azog (the one-armed guy) was killed by Dain in the very battle where Thorin got the cognomen, Oakenshield. Bolg commanded the goblins at the Battle of Five Armies, and he was not killed in battle by Legolas out-jumping him, but by Beorn, who was shamefully slighted in this movie.

Also, Thranduil would not have told Legolas to go looking for ranger called Strider, insomuch as at the time of the quest for Erebor, Aragorn was ten years old, and going by the name "Estel."

Also also, Balin was born about 80 years after Thorin, contrary to their appearances.
