It was great movie until the agenda took over random thoughts Send a noteboard - 27/05/2015 04:13:28 PM

And then it went off the rail and became a very preachy story about how we need to stop over fishing because it hurts the penguins by competing with their food supply. So while true and important it had my five year old wandering away looking for something that could hold her interest and why she has never watched it a second time. She wanted dancing penguins and a story line she understood not a boring penguin who managed to make people understand a message she didn't understand herself. Bambi worked for making kids care about the animals and come away with an anti-hunting message because kids understood the issues and it enhanced the story instead of taking away from it. Happy Feet stopped being entertaining to deliver a message. Fury Road was better than that at least but it did stop being a Mad Max film in order to match a model the feminist desired.

Be nice to your friends, share and care about others. Those are the messages that work in children's programing not complicated environmental messages. Put that in as a subplot for the parents if you really must feel like you are doing something more than making millions of dollars for the entertainment industry but when it takes over the move it fails. The critics love because by and large they are on the far left side of the political spectrum but propaganda always looks smart to the faithful. That is why bomber stickers sale so well and that is why Fury Road received rave reviews form critics and feminist but all the people I spoke to leaving the theater thought it was just OK.
