I came across this article in the Guardian, and I thought others might want to read it. It is a semi-rant on Hollywood going safe by making any number of identical movies.


I should point out that it's not just Hollywood. They are just the main offender here.

TV networks do the same thing, which is why there are so many teen-dramas, talent-shows and cop dramas. Woohoo!


It's not Hollywood, it's the viewers who are dumb. Once they stop watching and paying for Teenage Musicals and Saw films, they won't get made anymore. As long as people want them, Hollywood would be stupid not to provide.
There are still plenty of new, exciting and original releases each year.
