mostly because it looked better. I do see some potential for the story to get better, and I think you're right Tigr on how it seems more like a spy thriller.

and I'll tell you why. It has the feel of a spy-thriller/anti-terrorist/cop show more than a sci-fi romp like the original series. Not that there is anything wrong with a good romp, I just think mixing the two genres could be something that turns out to be great.
