Late show of "Fantastic Mr. Fox" — fairly fantastic. Raserei Send a noteboard - 30/11/2009 06:48:41 AM
This Wes Anderson film is a cinematic feat both on dramatic and technical levels. The flickering whiskers and fur give an organic feeling to the characters while the elegant backgrounds elicit depth and beauty in the numerous locales explored in this romp.

Transposed from the charming Roald Dahl book, this film stands up on its own not per say fro its sincerity to the text, but in Wes Anderson's way of including neuroses into his characters. Fans of Andersons previous works will be quite pleased with the quick and dirty quips, self-editing their expletives with cuss.

"We just cussed up their house!"

It's a whimsical tale with some moments of exploration into relations and the debt you owe to them as a community.

I won't give much in way of story, for I suggest you give it a shot, if not now, then down the road.

What were your reactions? Favorite scene? Character? Please denote spoilers.
That's the whole trouble. You can't ever find
a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any.
You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking,
somebody'll sneak up and write "F*ck you" right under your nose.
