The first season is still the series' best, and that's sad for a show that had such potential. Season 2 started interestingly, but was gimped due to the WGA strike. Season 3 just went too far out there and in so many ways... It's hard to take anything seriously when there are no real consequences. So far, only one main character has *really* died, and now he's still getting screen time. (when I say "main," I mean someone we actually might care about)

IMO, the series was bound to go downhill with the first season "saving the world."
The sword might be grateful to the forge fire, but never fond of it.
