I admit it... ajah Send a noteboard - 03/12/2009 08:03:41 AM
I really enjoyed this movie -- I have a thing for both apocalyptic stories and disaster special effects, so how could I not?

That said, I have to ask a question about the story arc. Yes, I realize I am on as shifty of ground as if the earth's core really was moving looking for story cohesion in this film, but I have to do it.

So, supposedly the planets are all supposed to align and cause the disaster on Winter Solstice in 2012.

But our disaster here clearly happens in the summertime, as they are camping in Yosemite in shorts and short sleeves (Yosemite is buried under snow in winter).

SO will they survive this sun flare induced neutreno disaster simply to be exterminated for real when the planets line up a few months from now? Enquiring minds want to know...
