I was never a fan of Russell T Davis and after watching the finale I'm more pleased than ever that he's leaving.

I don't want to dwell too much on what I didn't like about the episode, but after bringing back the time lords (with Rassilon as their leader, no less!!!) I'd have liked to have seen them (and him) stick around for longer than the finale.


That was something I was wondering about. You can't just use the name Rassilon without explanation. Is it the Rassilon? This was just brought in and never properly explored in depth. Maybe we will get more in flashbacks. How did the Time Lords become worse than their enemies? That would make for a good series arc.

I do however have extremely high hopes for the new season as IMHO the best four episodes from the reboot were all written by Steven Moffat.
