Well, four if you want to include last night. My wife and sons watch the show. Well, last night I watched with them.
I just have to say that the show really sucks. Not just a little bit, but huge donkey dong sucks. Plot? Acting? Special effects? I couldn't say one thing that was good about this show. After I pointed these things out to them they made sure to point out the same things about the only TV show I try to catch on a regular basis, Bones.
So I can't really comment on your observations about lack of character growth, but I do agree about it being a bad show.
