1) Panasonic 42" plasma. there is also a LG 50" plasma in the house

I seriously love my Panasonic Plasma!

2) I enjoy all forms of large televisions

I do too, I think they all have their merits.

6) yes. not sure whats up. making the price gap smaller may encourage more people to get a blu-ray player.

I'd definitely buy more blu-rays if the movies were even within like 5-10 bucks of their dvd counterparts.
