1) What kind of TV do you have? (brand, size, picture technology, etc)

Panasonic Viera plasma, 42". Lower end-ish model.

2) What side of the Plasma vs LCD argument do you fall on?

Plasma if there's no computer involved. Colors and refresh rate are better, from what I understand, and risk of burn in these days is almost non-existent. LCD is probably the better bet if you're using the screen as a computer monitor though. Typically better connectivity options, and much higher resolutions.

Yeah, I'm pretty much 100% with you on that one. It's kind of a shame that Plasma seems to be fading away as a screen technology.

3) Do you plan a TV upgrade anytime soon?

No.

4) Have you upgraded to Blu-Ray yet?

No sir. I like HD content, but I'm just not a big movie buff at all. I'm perfectly happy with DVD quality for the few films I watch.

5) How big is your DVD/Blu-Ray library?

/smirk. Three movies: all LOTR extended editions. Everything else I download, and play via computer/360.

I keep intending to set up a media center computer, but I'm kinda waiting until I have a house to do so.

6) Aren't Blu-Ray disks ridiculously overpriced still?? I mean $30+ for a new movie when you can get the DVD for like 1/2 that?? What's up with that?

Sure seems like it to me, yeah. I wonder why? The filming equipment is a big investment, true, but it's a one time cost, I would think. I can't see justifying the blu-ray cost there. Similarly, blu-ray burners and disks aren't that expensive either. I suppose it's still just a "newest and best" premium.

Yeah, that's what I'm guessing. It just seems that studios would get people to switch more readily if the prices were more reasonable. The players aren't too expensive anymore, but the cost of the movies is on par with many video games.
