The way I understood it, the real Locke was killed by Ben in that motel room, and the Locke on the Island all through season 5 was presumably the MiB.
However, now that Juliet has blown up the Jughead and altered the timeline (?), everything is up in the air. Perhaps the real Locke will be back in an alternate life this time around (I'm guessing he will).
