It is a really good film which I feel was mis-marketed as an action comedy rather than black comedy, when it was released.
I'm a fan of Martin McDonagh generally and have quite enjoyed his plays which show a nice mixture of Irish and UK influences. My personal favourite is The Lonesome West followed by The Lieutenant of Inishmore although most people disagree.
If you enjoyed In Bruges you should check out McDonagh's short Six Shooter. It won the Oscar for live action short back in 2006. You used to be able to find the whole thing online, but I couldn't find it just now. I've linked to it's amazon page. It's about half an hour long.
