I had the feeling at the end of the episode when the were singing Happy Birthday to the guy that they had had their first taste of war and killing and were fully expecting to kick the Japanese's asses. I found myself thinking as they were walking into the jungle singing that they have no idea the horror that is awaiting. Good end to the first episode.

It was like they were just starting on a long journey.. good end, indeed.
