Well Widmore was an Other and as such belonged to Jacob. His rivalry was with Ben for control of the Others.

Why did he have to talk to Jin? They could have taken a lot more tranquilized people off the beach than just him.


I assume it's to do with his time with Dharma. The scientist seemed very interested in the electromagnetic surveys Jin seemed to have made

Why does MIB need Jacob's candidates to get off the island? I suspect it's only so they can't do Jacob's job. Or is there more to it?


Perhaps just by staying on the Island Jacob's successor keeps MIB on it

Next week: "Happily ever after". Maybe a Desmond episode? If he doesn't get to live happily ever after I'll be so pissed.
