...with someone who had not more than the most basic knowledge of SW and having seen how they worked on her and how well they blended into each other as one big film that gets constantly more serious and better, I gotta say I get increasingly annoyed at the Internet Naysayers who need a life or get out there and try and make a better film. Because JarJar and some lousy romance dialogs aside, they wouldn't be able to.


and that is:

1) there is no protagonist/main character in either of the first two films (since he hasn't done episode 3 yet)

and 2) there is WAY too much stuff going on in each frame of the movie

i'm sure watching them back to back to back makes a lot more sense than watching each one separately, but what made the original movies so compelling is that each one tells a specific story, with specific identifiable characters, and wraps itself up within its time frame. if you have to watch all three of the prequels together to make sense of them then they have failed on at least one level.
