and it was Nynaeve's choice not to kill Renna, because Egwene was an incompetant wreck at that point. Even if we stipulate that she spared Renna, how about her decision to throw fireballs at some anonymous Seanchan while leaving, when she lacked the guts to kill the one who actually did something to her that would mitigate her killing in some small way?


Indeed, if you read back to that scene in tGH, Egwene starts laying a beat-down on Renna, says she wants to kill ALL the sul'dams, etc. It was Nynaeve who rightly pointed out that what she was doing made her no better than the Seanchan. And Egwene's defense: "They hurt me."
