Also, it sounds as if she gets a lot of things accomplished in the next book, so that's how I read "notches".
I could be wrong, but I think Rand and Egwene's TGS arcs will be told in tandom. If so, the comment doesn't refer to anything we don't already know unless it happens in the prologue.
