Elaida followed all the laws when Siuan was deposed. and Egwene was the leader of the rebellion, which is pretty much the definition of legal.

Yes, Elaida was terrible, yes it was good that they opposed her, but Egwene definitely wasn't the "rightful" Amyrlin.
