The WoT does NOT feature a "small set of characters"

Sadly, Jordan gives us far less info than we'd like on the Age of Legends - the time, the people, its technology. For him, the focus of the series was the present time and a small set of characters, most of whom were from a tiny village.
We have some thirty-odd "main" characters as of book four. RJ may have been planning a four book series, but he sure didn't set himself up for one. His story actually weaves the pattern for us with I'm estimating nearly 200 characters with names, faces, and back-stories, whom we see more than once in the series and who serve a purpose. Everyone and everything is connected and his scope is huge. In all of that mess, RJ couldn't fit in a ton of information about the AoL without making everything even MORE complicated. We know what our characters know, and that's enough.
Alll the incompetent Forsaken talk lately...

Don't sweat it. It's not like we're overflowing with threads and need to cut down on the clutter. *NM*

Posting a reply at the bottom of a long thread is a good way for your points to be overlooked. *NM*

You can do good without being good. It's mostly the system's fault (credit? )
