While reading WOT I would often say to myself something to the likes of "would he get to the point already", or "would he pick a direction". Looking back, so much of the character of WOT came from the style and pace of the writing that the story would seem 'less' if it had been written any other way. It just would not have been as interesting. The chapter needed a subtlety that just wasn't there. A little bit of ambiguity would have went a long way.
I NEVER had a complaint with the style or pace. I have been saying for YEARS on the WoTMB to anyone who complained about the decriptions and mannerisms and whatnot that it would not be same without that stuff. I have been proven right.
It still had too much description. Therefore you have been proven wrong.
The good news is that we got another 6500 words of WoT with nothing happening.

I'm drinkin' some George Jones,
and a little bit of Coe
Haggard's easin' my misery
and Waylon's keepin' me from home
Hank's givin' me those high times-
Cash is gonna sing it low
I'm here gettin' wasted-
just like my country heroes -Hank III

Could it be rough draft that Sanderson kept, and Jordan never polished? *NM*

Agree fully. Art and paiting have rarely even been mentioned! It feels like a fan's writing...

No. It was never meant to be, it never could be and Sanderson never pretended otherwise.
