I think one can only pity him.
What I still find interesting is that LTT always just lamented Ilyena but not his also killed children (though killing your children seems even more monstrous than killing your wife).
Besides that, we still don't know if LTT's voice was just a figment of Rand's crazy mind, or if this was actually the voice/ghost of the original LTT, basically given by the Wheel/Pattern as a guide for Rand. I tend to believe the second explanation.
