Maybe the question should not be why LTT was so perfect, but rather why Rand is not. Why did the pattern not arrange things so that Rand is the most intelligent/powerfull/perfect guy around. I mean he arguably needs to be perfect more than LTT did since he starts off from such a worse position.


I think the Pattern learned not to put all its eggs in one basket. Rand needs a good support system more than he needs to be perfect.
