He was the strongest channeler of the Age
But not the ultimate channeler. He doesn't possess most of the major Talents, and even the minor ones. There are dozens of channelers who have unique skills that he cannot duplicate.
He was the most charismatic leader
He was the most brilliant strategist
He was the most brilliant strategist
He was often matched directly by Demandred, Sammael or Be'lal.
He was physically imposing
But not as good looking as Rahvin.
So what were his flaws? That he was arrogant? Not according to the Forsaken, who called him soft and unable to make hard decisions.
To me you would be refusing to accept reality if you had all those attributes and were still not confident in your abilities.
I think Lews Therin was indeed perfect. It was just that the situation he faced was an impossible one. Lesser men would have fared far worse than he did, given the circumstances.

Someone can't be perfect if other people are superior to him in any way. That's the definition. He was merely the best of what was available in the Age. I'm not trying to run the character down, but your own definition is flawed. Perfection means perfection, nothing less, and he wasn't.

LTT was close to perfect, and he barely managed to eke out a draw with the Shadow.

Bitter is too strong a word. More "conditioned" to search for character flaws in literature...
