the reason you can't find real people as accomplished is no one lives that long in real life!

I try to sometimes make analogies to real-life characters from our history, even including some fictional characters from mythology. I somewhat stand at a loss for an analogy for LTT simply because he excelled in too many areas.
He's talked up to be the leader of the world both politically, physically, as a general, and in the One Power. This is just total overkill--nobody is a total jack of all trades to the point that they exceed the skill of everyone. Michael Jordan could not sing, Albert Einstein could not play ping pong, and General Patton couldn't beat me in Starcraft.

I'd argue that these men may have be capable of singing, ping-ponging and starcraft victory if they had a lifetime to master these things. AoL Channelers lived for hundreds of years before they became so accomplished. LTT was 300-400 years old at least... given that lifespan he could easily master so many things!

I thought that was supposed to be left up to the reader to decide.

Not to mention--how old was LTT? He really had no adult children?

LTT was close to perfect, and he barely managed to eke out a draw with the Shadow.

What flaws? Lews Therin HAD no flaws. It's just you average folk being bitter about perfection...

Bitter is too strong a word. More "conditioned" to search for character flaws in literature...

A rather unrealistic character in my opinion
