Moghedien also seems to have had this skill judging by how quickly she slipped out of Nynaeve's Shield with Nynaeve not even noticing.
I suspect that breaking a Shield is a skill such as Linking, involving the manipulation of your connection to the Source rather than actively channeling, mainly based upon Rand's POV at Dumai Wells and the numerous POVs when a channeler is probing their Shield for weak points.

I think it's probably as much to do with Nynaeve's lack of skill in this particular area that made Moghedien seem so skilled. But you could be onto something here as Lanfear also comments on this topic in
