I didn't know that about the BWB, that's interesting.

I've never really disliked the covers because they looked "quaint," but because they usually were kind of meaningless. The character design was often either not consistent with the description in the books, or with previous covers.

Plus, why isn't there ever any channeling? It's always just people standing around. A cover with Rand cackling at the sky as he unleashes death upon a hundred thousand Trollocs... that'd sell books.
