The sword struck me as a replacement for the Dragon Sceptre, which was destroyed by Semirhage in the previous scene. Where the Dragon Sceptre was a Seanchan weapon that had been aimed at Rand, if you are correct, the sword would be the opposite weapon, and one that 'looked as if it had been designed speci?cally for Rand'.
Still, Rand already has Laman's blade which Aviendha gifted him, and Callandor, the Sword that is not a Sword... what does he need with another one? If he keeps amassing swords, I'll have to expect a post from you examining the significance of each one, as you do for horses, for instance
