He is as important as any soul is to the Pattern. RugbyPlayingAshaman Send a noteboard - 03/06/2010 09:54:52 PM
He serves a vital role in the story, especially Mats', and while he is not Gaidal Cain or a t'averen or what have you, I'd like to think that every soul is important to the Pattern, which is why Rands' massive balefiring of a small number of people (relatively speaking) nearly caused the entire Pattern to be unraveled so easily. A soul is an important, permanent element, and in that way everyone possessed of one serves a greater purpose than the one they know of or understand.

I've been doing my research, He's not Gaidal or a red herring - 06/06/2010 06:04:29 AM 592 Views
The red herring bit was also one of his purposes, actually. - 06/06/2010 11:53:40 AM 498 Views
