Though BS's answer to the question about Egwene's possible beheading that "she is still in danger of that happening " sounds as if it might be pretty literal.

However, if it's metaphorical the danger to Egwene's life is probably related to Mesaana, the most dangerous enemy closest to Egwene. One wonders, though, what Gawyn or someone else could do to save Egwene from Mesaana then.
