I've wondered if Egwene is "The Andoran Candidate"

What was Arangar doing with Eggy for all that time? For 3 books, she was sleeping in the same tent! We know that she spied on the Amrylin's plans and actions, that she freed a Forsaken, and ordered Delana to sow disorder... We also know that she gave Eggy bad dreams, and headaches to make her amenable to Halima's presence and massages. But Arangar's evil little hands were touching her head so often!
Surely folks as mean as the Forsaken can do bigger things than free Moggy and create discord. Arangar wouldn't need to be in the Salidar camp so much to accomplish this. What if Arangar was tinkering with her, conditioning Egwene this whole time? What if she's turned our 2nd-favorite Amyrlin into a little time bomb?
I think it's possible that there may be a "trigger" implanted in Egwene, something that will make her just go off in a way that will turn people against her, or perhaps make her look like a darkfriend. Her trigger moment could also be when the DB "knows the Amyrlin's anger..."
I like the idea of a Chosen contingency plan that's meant to undermine and weaken the Lightside this way...

I like the idea of a Chosen contingency plan that's meant to undermine and weaken the Lightside this way...
The following Q&A was recently reported:
"Has Egwene's dream of having her head on a block and an axe falling come true? Brandon answered, It has not, she is still in danger of that happening. Then he looked at us and said, 'it may, or may not also have something to do with Mins vision of Gawyn either saving or killing Egwene. Big smile on his face for that one."
That means it wasn't fulfilled in TGS, when Egwene was imprisoned and threatened by Elaida.
The corresponding Dream Egwene had in ACoS says:
"Straps at waist and shoulder held her tightly to the block, and the headsman's axe descended, but she knew that somewhere someone was running, and if they ran fast enough, the axe would stop. If not.... In that corner of her mind, she felt a chill.."
Considering that Egwene has also Dreams about Gawyn making a crucial decision, which will either lead to her death or save her, it makes sense that both things are related.
I think the most likely group that could want to take Egwene's head yet would be the Seanchan, now that Elaida and the BA are gone from the WT (Mesaana would rather assassinate Egwene, I think). We also know that the Seanchan usually behead foreign rulers, who don't bow to them (e.g. the Sea Folk's Mistress of the Ships in WH, ch.16). Even if Egwene could be used as a damane, the Seanchan might decide to outright kill her to destroy the symbol of the Amyrlin as the "Head of the AS". Egwene is also tied to the Seanchan, as we know from her other Dreams. Considering that the Seanchan will most likely learn Travelling from Elaida, they could soon attack Tar Valon again.
In the end, though, I think it's clear that Egwene will survive this danger, and that there will be a pact with Fortuona.
So, how do you believe it will come to this. What could Gawyn or someone else (Rand?) do to rescue Egwene from a beheading? Will Gawyn somehow save Egwene by staying at her side, instead of going to Elayne? Of course, Elayne also has an axe in her future, according to Min's Viewing, so could this decision to save Egwene tragically even lead to Elayne's possible death or torture?

Mesaana's more likely. There just isn't enough time for it to be the Seanchan, imo *NM*
