Except for his publishers, I suppose. When Ned sold out everything in which he believed for purely personal reasons and DESPITE the obvious fact that by doing so he lost any leverage he had to protect his family, the one character I actually liked in the series became insufferable. It's like Martins world consists of people with a "Nietzsche gene" and a small minority who've managed to preserve the recessive genetic trait responsible for honor--apparently, through centuries of inbreeding to the point of imbecility. Everyone's either evil, stupid, insane or a combination of the preceding.
