... since the Creator and Shai'tan are equal and opposite powers, hypothetically it could be a coin flip as to who wins every time they fight. However, I think that the Creator needed to sacrifice some of his power to imprison Shai'tan and to create the world, so that if Shai'tan breaks free and destroys Creation, he will face against a greatly weakened Creator.

That assumes that the Creator is incapable of regaining the energy he used. I suppose one could say that in order to make the pattern, the Creator had to permanently give away some of his strength. Perhaps in order to form the OP. However if the pattern is destroyed, what would stop him from just taking the energy back.

Yeah, I always believed Lanfear was a delusional nutcase, and after reading in The Gathering Storm that Rand counterbalanced the appeal of all the saidin in the Choedan Kal with what little fraction of Shai'tan's power he was permitted to access, it seems pretty laughable to think that they could in any way, shape or form be a threat to Shai'tan no matter how much One Power they have. Hell, just touching Shai'tan with the Power would drive them insane and taint the Source, Hundred Companions style.

This is not actually true.

BS confirmed that the amount of True Power Rand used was not comparable to the power of the Choedan Kal. TP is however much more addictive than OP, so the ecstacy that Rand felt with just the normal amount of TP, was equal to the massive amounts that CK can handle.

This makes sense actually, if any TP user could wield CK amounts of power, Moridin could have destroyed the pattern himself a long time ago.

I do agree however that even the CK would not have been enough to challenge either the DO or the Creator. Lanfear was indeed a nutcase.
