...it was mainly Rand who thought of it, and who carried it out.
That's beside the point. It doesn't matter who's to be credited for the Cleansing (mostly Rand, certainly - most of Nynaeve's credit for it comes from accepting to collaborate - a huge deed in itself, but the rest is all Rand's initiatives), the significance of this event is intrinsically tied to the fact it's a mixed gender effort, the first in 3000 years, that began to undo the mistakes made in the AOL, and that was totally impossible unless men and women did what they had not done since the breaking: work the two halves of the OP together. Not representing Nynaeve, or saidin and saidar, removes pretty much all greater significance to the scene depicted.

It looks cool... eh, I think I'd have liked a different way of showing it, though

I like the artwork, but I think they could have a bit more dynamic IMO *NM*

Better than the orginal, but a picture of a turd would do that, too. *NM*

as long as that turd isn't trying to march an army through a foot of snow

Isn't this cover done from Nyneave's point of view? She was sitting directly across from him *NM*

Then they should have fish eyed it, so you could see her cleavage along the bottom of the picture. *NM*

It's OK. Fairly average considering the range of possible scenes the cover could have shown/conveyed
