As it seemed most likely, it shows a scene at the Cleansing. Not that bad.
I think the art work is very nice indeed but, because he is my favorite character I tend to nitpick so, he needs broader shoulders, more masculine eyebrows, and loose the little pointy cleft chin.
Why is he drawn with a cleft chin so often? Where is that in his description?
I forgot to mention, at this point in the story he also needs black (which was mentioned already I think) shoulder length hair.
In fact here is a better face to harden (JUST the face, the rest of him needs much more work)in this link.
And when did his hair turn black? He's always had reddish hair and grey eyes

It looks cool... eh, I think I'd have liked a different way of showing it, though

I like the artwork, but I think they could have a bit more dynamic IMO *NM*

Better than the orginal, but a picture of a turd would do that, too. *NM*

as long as that turd isn't trying to march an army through a foot of snow

Isn't this cover done from Nyneave's point of view? She was sitting directly across from him *NM*

Then they should have fish eyed it, so you could see her cleavage along the bottom of the picture. *NM*

It's OK. Fairly average considering the range of possible scenes the cover could have shown/conveyed
